  1. The wait is over! Dates are now confirmed. They are July 19th-23rd 2012, with two pre-meetup camping events happening between July 15th and July 18th. We now have an event calendar on our website here. Online Registration is Now Open. To register for the 2012 meetup simply go to AvatarMeet.com and create an account. Or click here. Registration allows you get benefits such as hotel discounts, news and updates and guaranteed spaces in events. It helps us to know the numbers and statistics to plan an awesome event for everyone. Registration is completely free and only takes a few minutes. Even if you aren't sure that you will be attending the meetup, it is highly recommended that you create an account, as you will have access to information and other important updates. We have a hotel for our group. We have made arrangements with The Best Western Executive Inn. The hotel will be giving our group an excellent discount and will be providing rooms/space for some of our events. Instructions on how to make your reservation are on our website here. We are now accepting donations. Several events need to be paid in advance. Please see more info here. AvatarMeet.com has gone through a huge overhaul and there are many new pages to explore, as well as old ones that have been updated. There will be more updates to come, so check back often.     You bet we are. maybe not 3D, but we ARE renting out a theater. It would be awesome if you could join us. I'll put you down as interested. EDIT: UPDATE: DATES HAVE BEEN CHOOSEN: July 19th-23rd 2012. (dates subject to change) Please post here if these dates are ok. Irayo! Also every forum get's its "representative" at the meetup/convention. This person would also be "semi" on the planning committee. However since no one here is going at 50% or higher there is not a need yet.

  5. After the amazing meetups this year in June and July, the plan is to have a "meetup of the clans" in 2012. Most likely July in Seattle WA. Anyone here is welcome to join us, and it WILL be an awesome experience. If you are interested simply post your % chance of attending here...and sign up for the newsletter at [email protected] (nothing is for sure, and some things WILL change) Date: sometime in July 2012 How Long: friday-monday??? What's going on: Avatar Exhibit at the SFM, Group Viewings of the Movie, Clan meals, day hike, explore Seattle... Extras: Backpacking Trip (possibly camping trip instead) would be Tuesday-Wednesday?? Anyway, that is just an idea of what could happen, things are too far away to start planning too much. However we have started a list going of people that are interested in going. This will help us to determine the amount of people and planning and such... UPDATED: we are expecting 35+ people to be "signed-on" in the next month I hope to see you all there! -Aketuan

  8. hello. :hi: Just wanted to let everyone know that we set up an official (sort of ) mass email system for everyone interested in going to Seattle to see the Avatar Exhibit. There are two groups currently planning a trip, one on June 4th (ToS based) and one on July 9th (LN based), and anyone is welcome to join either group. Due to the multitude of threads floating around several forums, it will simplify things to create an email system. Even if you don't know if you can join either group, you should sign up for the emails to get all of the up-to-date information. So... the official email address is [email protected] All you have to do is send me your email address. Be sure and include your forum and username when sending the email. (You can send me a pm or send an email to ikrannews.) There will be two types of "newletters" sent out. One will be "Critical Information" and will include things like meeting times, information changes, hotel bookings...ect The other will be "fun information" which will include people's ideas of what to do in Seattle, places to eat...ect Thanks! -Aketuan
